Whats the difference between holographic nail glitter and iridescent nail glitter?

Holographic nail glitter

Holographic nail glitter has very vivid colours.  The colours in a true holographic glitter are vibrant and shine the full spectrum of colours when the nails hit the light at different angles.  If you use a burnished technique (brush onto a sticky layer) to apply holographic nail glitter, so that all the pieces of glitter are laying flat, the holographic effect becomes more obvious as the glitter on the same angle shifts through the same colour at the same time.

Iridescent nail glitter

Iridescent nail glitter behaves in a similar way to holographic glitter, but has a more gentler colour shift.  Iridescent glitter tends to be paler colours and may only shift between two or three colours.  Again if you apply iridescent glitter using the burnished technique the colour shift will be more obvious.
